Lead, Freight Operations

The Lead, Freight Operations role is onsite in Orlando, FL, working in-office and/or at show sites. Compensation is not specified. The position supports Freeman’s Event & Exhibit Services team, which designs and delivers live-event experiences. The role leads dock labor and freight operations at show sites, particularly on smaller shows, while also performing much of the same work as the team. It coordinates personnel, equipment, freight, paperwork, and safety practices to deliver reliable service and control costs without compromising customer experience.

What you'll do

• Assign qualified personnel to show-site dock work
• lead loading and unloading
• follow safe operating practices
• interact professionally with customers, sales, operations staff, and vendors
• ensure equipment and tools are ready and report additional needs
• remove malfunctioning equipment from service and assist with returns
• submit labor needs
• follow operating hours and freight procedures
• confirm advance freight arrangements
• control job costs
• complete payroll forms and time cards
• participate in and lead safety and customer-service meetings
• comply with company policies.
