PRN Maintenance Technician

Job overview

The PRN Maintenance Technician role is onsite in Crane, TX. Hours are scheduled as needed to provide coverage during the Maintenance Director’s absence, and availability outside regular business hours may occasionally be requested for urgent facility needs. Compensation is not specified. The role supports Crane Memorial Hospital and other District-owned facilities. The technician helps keep hospital, clinic, housing, and other District properties safe and functional through routine repairs, preventive maintenance, groundskeeping, and response to maintenance requests. The work supports uninterrupted facility operations while minimizing disruption to patients and staff.

What you'll do

• Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs across hospital, clinic, employee housing, outbuildings, and other District property
• complete basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, drywall, door, and lock repairs
• identify building-system issues and coordinate specialized vendors when needed
• complete preventive maintenance, inspections, work orders, and safety checks
• maintain grounds, helipad, parking, vehicles, tools, and equipment
• keep basic maintenance records
• follow hospital safety, infection-prevention, and PPE requirements
• assist with facility emergencies and urgent maintenance needs as assigned.
