Design Engineer, Commercial Ice Machines

Job overview

The Design Engineer, Commercial Ice Machines position is onsite in Lynnwood, WA. Pay is $40–$45 per hour. The role supports the design and development of commercial ice machines and refrigeration systems. The engineer develops and tests equipment from concept through production launch, evaluates performance and efficiency, and works with manufacturing and other teams to improve reliability, manufacturability, quality, and cost.

What you'll do

• Design commercial cuber, flaker, nugget, pearl, and specialty ice-making equipment
• create 3D CAD models, assemblies, drawings, specifications, and bills of materials
• support product development, validation, and launch
• evaluate thermal performance, airflow, structural integrity, and refrigeration efficiency
• integrate refrigeration and water-circulation components
• build, test, validate, and troubleshoot prototypes
• collaborate with manufacturing and suppliers
• maintain technical documentation
• ensure designs meet applicable UL, NSF, CE, DOE, and refrigeration safety requirements.
