Manufacturing Technician

Job overview

The Manufacturing Technician role is onsite in Westford, MA, with pay of $24–$26 per hour. The position supports manufacturing of optical filter plates through shaping, testing, and inspection operations. The technician operates and sets up shaping equipment, performs in-process and final tests, and records results against specifications. Accurate processing and testing help maintain production quality and deliver completed work to the next station.

What you'll do

• Operate polishing, coring, scribing, dicing, sawing, grinding, and chamfering equipment
• sequence and adjust up to three machines
• replace tooling as needed
• inspect and document process results
• set up test equipment
• perform spectral, metrology, environmental, adhesion, abrasion, humidity, and cosmetic tests
• enter test results
• maintain clean, stocked, safe work areas
• deliver completed work to the next station.
