Azure Engineer

The Azure Engineer role is onsite in Washington, DC, Monday through Friday. Compensation is not specified. The role supports secure, compliant, cost-aware cloud operations and modernization by working with customer stakeholders and DevOps, security, and infrastructure teams.

What you'll do

• Analyze cloud spending and develop cost-optimization strategies
• create and maintain cloud-service budgets and forecasts
• evaluate Azure services for enterprise workloads
• coordinate with NTIA ITD on cloud needs and budgets
• embed Zero Trust, identity governance, and threat protection
• ensure compliance with federal mandates and internal policies
• design secure Azure landing zones
• implement governance models, role-based access control, and tagging
• monitor spending with Azure Cost Management and Azure Advisor
• integrate cloud-native services with on-premises systems
• provide architectural oversight for migration and modernization projects.
