The Registered Dietitian role is onsite in Rochester, NY, in a full-time, direct-hire position. Compensation is $65,000–$75,000 per year. The dietitian joins a nursing team serving individuals with developmental disabilities. The dietitian determines appropriate nutrition for residents across levels of care and supports their quality of life through assessment, nutrition planning, education, documentation, and coordination with nursing staff, guardians, and other team members.

What you'll do

• Assess nutritional needs
• develop and implement nutrition programs when needed
• evaluate and report results
• coordinate medical and nutritional needs with registered nurses
• provide nutrition and healthy-eating tools to individuals and direct-support staff
• complete assessments and progress notes as referred
• communicate with guardians, nurses, staff, and the Director of Nursing
• collaborate on recommendations
• provide staff education on nutrition, diabetes, safety, and sanitation
• attend relevant meetings
• participate in agency and community meetings as requested
• may supervise and educate local college dietitian students with approval.

Why this role
