Procurement Manager — Capital Assets

The Procurement Manager — Capital Assets role is hybrid in Kent, OH, with a minimum of three onsite days per week. Compensation is not specified. The manager supports The Davey Tree Expert Company’s fleet services and procurement function, reporting to the Senior Director of Fleet Services and Procurement. The role leads sourcing, supplier performance, budgeting, analytics, and procurement-team activities to improve cost, quality, service, and operational efficiency. It also supports capital expenditure planning and helps ensure procurement aligns with company objectives and approved budgets.

What you'll do

• Lead strategic sourcing across assigned spend categories
• develop category strategies
• conduct competitive bids, supplier evaluations, and total-cost analyses
• establish supplier scorecards and performance metrics
• implement rebate, incentive, and value programs
• lead supplier business reviews
• partner with Finance and Operations on planning, forecasting, and budgets
• track savings and working-capital improvements
• use SAP S/4HANA and reporting tools
• develop dashboards and KPI reports
• collaborate across departments
• lead process improvement and change management
• manage the procurement team
• ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements.

Why this role

Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business administration, or related field required; master’s degree is a plus. Requires five years of procurement, purchasing, or supply-chain experience, including at least three years in leadership. Travel expectations are up to 25%.
