The New ER Doctor (NERD) Program is an onsite, six-month training program in the Washington, DC area; compensation is not specified. What you'll do
- Participate in three to four hospital shifts per week across days, swings, and nights
- take part in weekly case discussions, literature reviews, and hands-on training
- develop emergency medicine skills through mentorship and clinical teaching
- complete program competencies and benchmarks. The program includes learning in ultrasound, exotic companion animals, endoscopy, emergency surgery, critical care, and CPR.
