What you'll do

• Greet patients and visitors in person and by phone
• maintain an organized front desk
• register patients and update demographic and financial information
• collect outstanding balances
• obtain referrals and authorizations
• scan faxes, consents, reports, and other information into patient charts
• generate daily batch transmittal reports
• notify providers and staff of patient arrivals and communicate delays
• schedule follow-up services and office visits
• respond to inquiries
• monitor office supplies and equipment
• protect patient confidentiality and maintain accurate medical records. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent and 1–3 years of customer service experience
• medical office experience is preferred.
