In-Person English and Math Tutor, Middle School

Job overview

The In-Person English and Math Tutor role is onsite in Visalia, CA, with pay of $22–$26 per hour. HeyTutor partners with a local school district to provide tutoring to middle school students in grades 6–8. The tutor delivers small-group lessons using provided materials, supports student participation and behavior, and tracks attendance and progress to contribute to students’ learning.

What you'll do

• Tutor small groups of middle school students without direct teacher supervision
• deliver lessons using provided curriculum and materials
• create a welcoming learning environment
• support student behavior and participation
• track attendance and progress in the HeyTutor Dashboard
• assist with assessments when requested
• escort students on campus
• clock in and out using Deputy.
