The Information Technologist — RQ-4 Communications Systems role is onsite at Grand Forks Air Force Base, ND. Compensation is $60,000–$80,000 annually. The role supports RQ-4 communications planning and information technology activities for Spectrum Comm Inc. The technologist provides technical and analytical support for communications-computer systems planning, implementation, upgrades, and maintenance. The work helps maintain system integration and supports the associated units’ network and laptop operations.

What you'll do

• Perform communications-computer systems planning and implementation
• support current and future communications planning
• support projects and ensure architecture, configuration, and integration conformity
• provide technical and management oversight for RQ-4 communications and network upgrades and maintenance
• advise leadership
• facilitate approved project-management efforts to improve RQ-4 integration with USAF and national architectures
• administer and support up to 250 issued and loaner laptops.

Why this role

Active TS/SCI clearance required; five years of ground-based telecommunications experience and four years with Ethernet, LAN/WAN, and UNIX and non-UNIX operating systems required; ATM experience is a plus.
