Director of Compliance

Job overview

The Director of Compliance role is onsite in Denver, CO, with travel required up to 35%; compensation is $120,000–$160,000 per year. Monroe Group manages affordable multifamily and senior/disabled housing communities, and this role leads its compliance department. The director oversees Section 8 and LIHTC compliance across the portfolio, keeps the organization informed about program and regulatory changes, and coordinates with HUD and state agencies. The role also guides compliance staff and property managers, oversees audits and reporting, and works with General Counsel on corrective plans.

What you'll do

• Evaluate agency requirements and implement compliance procedures
• monitor affordable housing program and state policy changes
• communicate interpretations and updates to compliance and property management staff
• respond to compliance questions
• oversee file reviews, audits, agency responses, and required reporting
• coordinate management reviews
• serve as primary contact for HUD and state agencies
• train property managers
• develop action plans with General Counsel for non-compliant properties.
