Travel Pharmacist, Inpatient Pharmacy

The Travel Pharmacist role is onsite in San Luis Obispo, CA, with stated compensation of $3,700–$3,915 per week. The pharmacist joins a collaborative inpatient pharmacy team serving a diverse patient population, including pediatric and neonatal patients. The pharmacist supports safe and effective medication use by reviewing, processing, and dispensing orders, advising healthcare providers, and participating in clinical pharmacy and medication management activities. The assignment is a 13-week travel contract with rotating 10-hour shifts, four shifts per week, rotating weekend coverage up to every other weekend, and overnight on-call coverage for the closing pharmacist.

What you'll do

• Verify, process, and dispense medication orders
• review orders for safety, allergies, interactions, dosing, and appropriateness
• monitor therapies
• provide drug information and clinical recommendations
• address medication safety concerns
• participate in medication management, quality improvement, formulary reviews, and IV compounding
• support pharmacy technicians.
