The Maintenance Manager role is onsite in Tampa, FL, with a starting cash salary range of $110,000–$130,000 per year. The role supports Zipline’s U.S. Operations, which depend on safe, compliant, operationally ready aircraft and systems. Zipline’s mission is to improve access to essential goods through autonomous delivery. The manager leads daily maintenance execution and a team of supervisors and technicians while remaining hands-on. The role oversees asset intake, inspections, repairs, documentation, and return-to-service coordination, improving fleet availability through disciplined planning, safety practices, and collaboration with engineering and compliance.

What you'll do

• Lead daily maintenance execution and approved airworthiness determinations
• manage asset receiving, conformity checks, inspection, repair, documentation, and return-to-service coordination
• set maintenance schedules, shift coverage, backlog priorities, and work in progress
• plan for continued airworthiness and fleet health
• coach technicians and supervisors
• track downtime, uptime, turnaround, first-time-fix quality, backlog closure, and productivity
• enforce SOPs, safety protocols, qualification practices, and audit-ready records
• partner with engineering and compliance on recurring issues and process improvements.
