Medical Assistant — Pediatrics

What you'll do

• Schedule appointments
• check patients in and out
• maintain medical records
• prepare, clean, and maintain exam and treatment rooms and supplies
• greet and escort patients
• obtain and record medical histories, vital signs, test results, and x-ray procedures
• prepare patients for examinations and treatments
• assist providers during exams
• answer calls and return messages within 24 hours
• maintain sample medication records
• prepare and administer medications as directed by providers
• coordinate care with primary care physicians, hospitals, emergency rooms, and community resources
• follow HIPAA and OSHA requirements.
