Direct Care Aide

Job overview

The Direct Care Aide role provides in-home assistance to members in the New Bedford, MA area. Pay starts at $20 per visit, with a stated $21.50 per visit for weekends and holidays. The Home Assistance Program supports members living in their own homes and works with an RN and Social Worker/Case Manager.

What you'll do

• Provide assistance or cueing and supervision
• assist with personal care, light housekeeping, laundry, and shopping
• and prepare meals when needed. Work with the program’s RN and Social Worker/Case Manager as part of a team approach.

Why this role

Reliable transportation, communication skills, and a sincere desire to assist members with activities of daily living are required. Homecare experience or experience working with adults with medical or mental health diagnoses is strongly preferred; a CNA license is not required if the candidate has the experience.
