Construction and Development Project Associate

Job overview

The Construction and Development Project Associate role is in person in Rockford, IL, with in-office and on-site responsibilities as needed. Pay is $85,000–$95,000 per year, depending on experience. The role supports residential construction, subdivision development, and land development projects throughout Northern Illinois and Southern Wisconsin. The associate coordinates schedules, documentation, communications, and project details across construction and development work. By working with municipalities, engineers, utility companies, contractors, and internal staff, the role helps keep projects organized, compliant with requirements, and moving toward completion.

What you'll do

• Coordinate subdivision development activities, schedules, and milestones
• communicate with municipalities, engineers, surveyors, utility companies, and contractors
• assist with plat maps, grading and erosion control plans, permits, and other documentation
• track requirements, inspections, approvals, and deadlines
• coordinate new-home construction schedules and communicate with field personnel, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams
• monitor progress and help resolve coordination issues
• maintain procedures, checklists, spreadsheets, and tracking systems
• use Excel to organize schedules, costs, and project details. CAD experience is beneficial but not required.
