The Automotive Service Technician Apprentice role is onsite in Abilene, TX, and compensation is not specified. Working alongside and under the guidance of a certified technician, the apprentice tests, diagnoses, maintains, and repairs vehicle systems. The role also communicates service needs and repair estimates through the Service Advisor and completes manufacturer-required training.

What you'll do

• Work alongside and under a certified technician
• test-drive vehicles and test components and systems using diagnostic tools
• diagnose, maintain, and repair engine, electrical, steering, suspension, brake, and air-conditioning systems
• communicate additional service needs and estimated repair time to the Service Advisor
• perform warranty repairs to manufacturer specifications
• complete required General Motors training.
