Infant Assistant Teacher

The Infant Assistant Teacher role is onsite in Denver, CO, with a Monday–Friday schedule from 8:15 a.m. to 5:15 p.m. Pay is $19.40–$22.00 per hour. Midtown Montessori Academy provides Montessori education for children from eight weeks through sixth grade. The assistant supports the lead guide in caring for infants ages eight weeks to 18 months and maintaining a safe, prepared classroom. Observation, respectful caregiving, and accurate daily records help support each infant’s development and individualized care.

What you'll do

• Observe infants’ motor, language, and social development and share observations with the lead guide
• maintain classroom order, safety, and cleanliness
• disinfect classroom materials daily
• support diapering, feeding, and nap routines in accordance with state licensing guidelines
• encourage safe freedom of movement
• maintain feeding, sleeping, diapering, and milestone logs
• assist with transitions and refer parent inquiries and concerns to the Lead Infant Guide.

Why this role

The academy will assist with obtaining infant CPR/First Aid certification; college degree is preferred, and infant/toddler Montessori experience or interest in MACTE-accredited training is a plus.
