The Principal, Wastewater Practice role is onsite in Woburn, MA, with an annual expected pay range of $180,000–$220,000 and eligibility for a minimum $20,000 sign-on bonus under the company’s program terms. The role leads Apex’s Northeast wastewater practice within a division delivering civil, environmental, water resources, and transportation projects. The position exists to guide practice strategy, lead project delivery, develop staff, and grow client relationships and business. It oversees multidisciplinary teams and project execution, supports quality and risk management, pursues new opportunities, and mentors staff while contributing to the company’s growth and client outcomes.

What you'll do

• Lead and develop teams of engineers, scientists, project managers, and support staff
• recruit and mentor staff
• maintain client and partner relationships
• lead projects from development through completion
• prepare proposals and scopes, review budgets, and oversee schedules, quality, and risk
• coordinate interdisciplinary teams and subconsultants
• provide technical advice
• manage client communications, project costs, invoicing, amendments, and change orders
• identify and pursue business development and cross-selling opportunities.
