The AI/Cybersecurity Solutions Engineer role is 100% onsite in Suitland, MD. Salary is $130,000–$140,000 per year. RCG provides technology and cybersecurity solutions for complex federal government environments; this role supports a federal Security, Architecture, and Engineering team. The engineer develops AI-enabled security automation and cloud security capabilities, including NIST 800-53 assessment and remediation workflows. The role owns technical workstreams from requirements through implementation, deployment, and evidence generation, helping the team deliver secure, auditable federal systems.

What you'll do

• Implement Amazon Bedrock agent action groups and Python Lambda execution layers
• develop RAG pipelines and AI security guardrails
• automate NIST 800-53 assessments and evidence collection
• build AWS remediation and hardening automation
• integrate AWS security services and SIEM telemetry
• support container and software supply-chain security
• maintain GitLab CI/CD and infrastructure-as-code
• document engineering work and maintain traceability for audits.

Why this role
