• Document nursing histories
• assess patient conditions and develop individual care plans
• assist physicians with examinations and procedures
• evaluate care outcomes and revise nursing processes as needed
• coordinate discharge planning and ordered services
• monitor and record patient conditions
• maintain confidentiality
• provide patient and family education
• communicate during handoffs
• round on patients
• orient or mentor new staff
• perform charge duties when requested after the stated experience and training requirements.
