Postpartum Doula

The Postpartum Doula role provides in-home support across New York City’s five boroughs, with compensation of $45 per hour paid biweekly by direct deposit. Maison D’Enfants’ perinatal support team provides postpartum support to families. The doula supports parents during the postpartum period through emotional and physical assistance, postpartum and newborn education, and lactation and feeding support. The role also helps with newborn care and related household tasks, adapting support to each family’s needs.

What you'll do

• Provide daytime and/or overnight postpartum support sessions
• offer emotional and physical support, postpartum and newborn education, and lactation or feeding support
• assist with newborn-related tasks, meal preparation, baby laundry, bottle cleaning and sanitizing, and home organization
• communicate proactively with families.

Why this role

The posting requires more than three years of postpartum doula experience and completed postpartum doula training; postpartum doula and/or lactation certification is preferred but not required. Sessions may occur Monday through Sunday and last at least three hours.
