The aide assists the cook with meal preparation and service while maintaining sanitation and safety. Timely meal and nourishment delivery, food handling, and equipment sanitation support residents’ daily care.

What you'll do

• Store food properly
• follow sanitation and infection-control procedures
• cover food while transporting it to serving areas
• deliver meals on time
• follow procedures for isolation trays and hot/steam carts
• deliver nourishment and dietary supplements to units on schedule
• provide fresh drinking water to residents on schedule
• dispose of garbage and waste
• sanitize food-preparation equipment, dishes, and utensils
• return items to their proper places
• maintain dependable and punctual attendance.
