Phlebotomist/Medical Assistant

Job overview

The Phlebotomist/Medical Assistant role is onsite in Cary, NC, with hourly pay of $20–$22. Life Line Screening provides preventive health screenings and supports patient recruitment for clinical research. The role collects and prepares blood specimens, supports participants during screening visits, and cross-trains in medical assistant screening duties. Accurate specimen handling, sanitation, and participant care help the company deliver screening services and support research programs.

What you'll do

• Review patient records
• label samples
• prepare equipment and supplies
• perform venipuncture and finger-sticks
• centrifuge and prepare specimens for transport
• monitor participants for reactions and sample quality
• maintain confidentiality and comfort
• clean and sanitize equipment and work areas
• use PPE
• package and ship specimens to the central lab
• cross-train in ankle-brachial index, osteoporosis, AFIB, registration, and other health screening duties
• share company van driving and equipment loading and unloading.
