The Addictions Counselor – Women’s Inpatient Services role is onsite in Sabillasville, MD, with annual compensation of $55,000–$68,000 based on licensure and experience. The Orenda Center of Wellness provides individualized residential treatment for women, including substance use and mental health therapies. The counselor provides clinical services and supports residents’ treatment and recovery plans. Through individual and group sessions, assessments, documentation, crisis response, and aftercare planning, the role contributes to coordinated dual-diagnosis care tailored to each resident’s needs.

What you'll do

• Conduct individual therapy sessions, groups, and/or family meetings
• facilitate substance use groups
• monitor specialty life skills courses
• complete substance use clinical assessments
• assist residents with goal setting and aftercare stepdown planning
• document clinical notes in the secure EMR within company timeframes
• maintain a caseload of 12 or more clients
• participate in weekly clinical team discussions
• respond to crisis needs using de-escalation and conflict-resolution skills.

Why this role

Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–4:30 PM; occasional weekend coverage may be needed if available. Maryland addiction counseling licensure or certification is required, such as ADT, CSC-AD, CAC-AD, LGADC, or LCADC.
