What you'll do

• Process patient referrals and insurance authorizations
• communicate referral status and barriers to providers and patients
• contact insurance carriers and submit clinical documentation
• enter referral data into the practice management system
• send documentation to specialty offices
• educate patients on referral requirements
• scan and upload records
• follow up on pending referrals and close expired referrals
• maintain HIPAA confidentiality.
