The Cook role is onsite in Peru, IL, working evenings from 12:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. and every other weekend. Pay is $16 per hour. Allure of Peru is a skilled nursing and healthcare center focused on dignity, compassion, and resident care. The cook prepares nutritious meals for residents according to planned menus and dietary requirements, including special diets prescribed by physicians. Working with the facility Dietitian and Food Services leadership, the role supports safe, compliant meal service and residents’ daily dining needs.

What you'll do

• Prepare meals according to planned menus and dietary requirements
• assist with special-diet menu planning as prescribed by physicians
• follow food safety and sanitation standards
• work with the facility Dietitian to implement dietary recommendations
• comply with food service regulations
• collaborate with other departments on daily operations.
