Chemical Production Operator

Job overview

The Chemical Production Operator is an onsite, full-time position in Chicago, IL, with weekday core hours of 7:00 AM–3:00 PM. Compensation is $26.50 per hour. NuMat develops precision chemistries and commercializes metal-organic frameworks used to capture and separate hazardous chemicals that can harm human health and the environment. The operator supports safe, efficient production of commercial product lines by running and maintaining equipment, monitoring processes, documenting work, and supporting quality and inventory activities. The role contributes to manufacturing safety, quality, reliability, and continuous improvement.

What you'll do

• Operate and maintain manufacturing equipment
• perform activities such as batch drying, transferring solid and liquid chemicals, operating packaging equipment, and conducting at-line quality tests
• monitor and adjust continuous processes using industrial control screens
• complete process documentation
• diagnose equipment or process problems and adjust within SOP guidelines or escalate them
• operate powered industrial trucks to move materials
• perform inventory management
• support new product development as needed
• follow HSE requirements, escalate quality deviations, and perform basic maintenance as directed.
