The Direct Support Professional, 23 Hours role is onsite in Sparta, NJ; compensation is $20.49 per hour Monday through Friday and $21.49 per hour for shifts beginning Friday at 11 p.m. through Sunday at 11 p.m. Catholic Charities’ Department for Persons with Disabilities provides care for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in group homes. The professional supports residents’ health, safety, and welfare through personal care, daily living activities, medication assistance, transportation, and community activities. The role contributes to residents’ care through daily documentation and communication with coworkers and supervisors.

What you'll do

• Assist or supervise residents with bathing, toileting, cleaning, cooking, and life skills
• administer or assist with medication
• communicate with supervisors, coworkers, and residents
• drive residents to and from day programs and community activities using agency vehicles
• document services daily
• assist with community-based activities
• attend monthly staff meetings.
