The Undercarriage Field Technician 3 works onsite in Irving, TX and services the north Texas region; compensation is $26.91–$51.67 per hour. HOLT CAT provides technical and mechanical services for construction equipment customers. The technician diagnoses and repairs heavy construction equipment undercarriages at customer field locations or in the shop. The role also supports customer needs and departmental goals through safe, accurate repairs, service reporting, and technical leadership for other technicians.

What you'll do

• Diagnose and repair heavy-equipment undercarriages in the field or shop
• remove broken bolts
• perform basic welding
• operate rebuilding tools and machines
• disassemble, clean, inspect, repair, and assemble components
• evaluate and monitor undercarriage condition
• prepare service reports
• maintain tools and work areas
• follow safety, contamination-control, and HAZMAT requirements
• provide task leadership, coaching, and mentoring
• travel for service work, with possible overnight stays.
