What you'll do

• Perform oral examinations and assess medical and dental histories
• review x-rays and records and document findings
• diagnose and treat conditions of the mouth and teeth
• order diagnostic procedures
• develop treatment plans
• perform restorative procedures, cleanings, extractions, and root canals
• refer patients to specialists
• educate patients on oral health and treatment
• administer medications and injections within licensing guidelines
• manage dental emergencies
• supervise dental assistants and hygienists as appropriate
• maintain patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
