The Plasma Burner with Beveling role is onsite in Houston, TX, with a Monday–Friday schedule from 5:00 PM to 1:30 AM and a 30-minute lunch. Starting pay is $22.74 per hour. The role supports steel processing at Universal Steel America, a specialty steel plate distributor and processor. The position operates and sets up CNC plasma equipment to cut and bevel steel plates to specifications. It also supports safe, productive machine operations through blueprint interpretation, part inspection, material handling, and routine equipment maintenance.

What you'll do

• Operate the Kinetic 2500 CNC plasma machine for precision cutting and beveling
• set up and program equipment
• read blueprints, work orders, and technical drawings
• inspect finished parts with precision measurement tools
• load, unload, and stage steel using forklifts, overhead cranes, and other handling equipment
• perform routine maintenance, cleaning, adjustments, and consumable tracking.
