Groundsperson — Utility Vegetation Management

The Groundsperson — Utility Vegetation Management role is onsite in Monroe City, MO. Compensation is $19 per hour. The groundsperson helps crews work safely and efficiently by clearing brush, handling tools and materials, assisting with traffic control, and cleaning work sites. The role also supports storm work when needed and helps protect coworkers and the public from hazards around the work area.

What you'll do

• Follow and help enforce safety practices
• clear undergrowth and brush using hand tools and chainsaws
• load and unload logs, brush, and debris and feed brush into a chipper
• use hand lines to lower limbs and equipment
• clean job sites
• carry and store tools and materials
• set up and remove road signs
• flag traffic
• drive trucks or operate assigned equipment
• perform basic equipment maintenance
• perform storm work as needed.
