Rug and Upholstery Technician

Job overview

The Rug and Upholstery Technician role is onsite in Pelham, AL, working Monday–Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with overtime as needed. Compensation is $18–$24 per hour based on experience. SERVPRO specializes in fire, water, mold, and storm damage restoration and provides cleaning services for homes and businesses. The technician cleans rugs, carpets, and upholstered furniture, selecting appropriate methods and using cleaning equipment to treat stains and odors. The role also includes rug pickup and delivery when needed, maintaining work areas and vehicles, and communicating with customers about service quality.

What you'll do

• Clean rugs, carpets, and upholstered furniture
• perform spot treatment, stain removal, and deodorization
• operate extractors, air movers, and specialty tools
• inspect materials and determine cleaning methods
• pick up and deliver rugs when needed
• maintain a clean, organized work area and vehicle
• communicate with customers and support satisfaction.
