Floor Technician

Job overview

The Floor Technician role is onsite in Port Arthur, TX, with a Monday–Friday schedule from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM and pay of $11.00 per hour. The position supports cleanliness and infection-control measures throughout the healthcare facility. The role maintains floors in patient care, public, and staff areas through cleaning, sanitizing, polishing, and inspection. It contributes to a clean and safe healthcare environment by following equipment, chemical-handling, and safety procedures and coordinating with Environmental Services colleagues.

What you'll do

• Sweep, mop, buff, strip, wax, and polish floors
• operate auto-scrubbers, buffers, waxers, and vacuums
• apply floor finishes and follow procedures for different floor types
• follow chemical and equipment safety protocols and place wet-floor signs
• inspect floors and report damage to the Environmental Services Supervisor
• maintain supplies and equipment inventory
• assist with general housekeeping as needed.
