Marine Designer — Levels I–IV

Job overview

The Marine Designer role is onsite in Mobile, AL. Compensation is not specified. The position supports the design and construction of complex commercial and military vessels. The designer develops production drawings and models, coordinates with engineering and production teams, and helps resolve design conflicts so vessel construction and modification work meets project specifications and production standards. Depending on experience level, the role may also include mentoring and technical leadership.

What you'll do

• Develop and maintain detailed 2D and 3D CAD drawings and models
• create production-ready design documentation
• review drawings and models
• interpret engineering drawings and system schematics
• coordinate with engineers, production personnel, program management, suppliers, and customers
• ensure designs meet specifications
• assist with design conflicts
• support schedules and design reviews
• mentor junior designers as experience level dictates.
