Senior Project Manager

Job overview

The Senior Project Manager role is hybrid, based in Harrisburg, PA, with at least one onsite day per month and additional onsite days as required. Compensation is not specified. The role supports the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania’s Department of Drug and Alcohol Programs on critical IT initiatives, including the iSMART/Training Management System replacement and continued WITS support. The project manager leads initiatives from planning through implementation, coordinating scope, schedules, budgets, resources, risks, and deliverables. The role aligns business stakeholders, IT teams, vendors, and suppliers to deliver projects on schedule and in accordance with business, technical, and quality requirements.

What you'll do

• Lead technology projects from planning through implementation
• manage scope, schedule, budget, resources, milestones, and deliverables
• maintain project plans and schedules
• track progress, risks, issues, and dependencies
• maintain RAID logs and mitigation strategies
• manage change plans and documentation
• prepare status reports and metrics
• coordinate teams, vendors, testing, training, and quality assurance
• present status to leadership
• mentor project management staff as needed.

Why this role
