The Program Coordinator — Walker Senior Center role is onsite at Senior Neighbors Walker Center in Grand Rapids, MI. Compensation is $34,500–$39,000 per year, commensurate with experience. Senior Neighbors’ center serves older adults through activities, meals, and support services. The coordinator oversees day-to-day center operations and organizes activities, outings, meals, and services that support older adults’ well-being. The role also connects participants with community resources and works with staff, volunteers, and local organizations to sustain and grow center participation.

What you'll do

  • Manage day-to-day senior center operations
  • design, schedule, and implement activities, classes, programs, and support services
  • provide information and referrals
  • conduct outreach to recruit and retain participants
  • coordinate with staff, volunteers, and community groups
  • recruit, train, supervise, and recognize staff and volunteers
  • support the advisory council
  • and organize records and reports, including meals and transportation program paperwork.

Why this role

Standard office hours are Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m. A bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred. ServSafe Manager certification is required within 90 days of hire; CTRS credential is preferred.
