What you'll do

• Interpret schematics and diagrams
• prepare cable and perform fusion splices for aerial and underground applications
• maintain moisture-free splice closures and termination points
• install customer-premise protectors and demarcation equipment
• inspect vaults and manholes
• install network equipment
• perform manual excavations and bonding and grounding
• report field activity
• follow industry, company, and government standards
• participate in the on-call rotation and travel to work sites and other company locations.

Why this role

Requires a high school diploma or equivalent and five years of telecommunications construction or maintenance experience; three years of fiber-splicing experience is preferred. The role includes an on-call rotation and occasional nonpeak maintenance windows.
