DC Power Technician

Job overview

The DC Power Technician role is field-based, with a required Monday 8:00 a.m. report to the Knoxville, TN office and regional work across East Tennessee and surrounding areas. Pay is $30–$40 per hour; the posting also lists $155 per day for overnight travel outside 50 miles. Mural Group is recruiting for a power infrastructure and field services company supporting telecom, utility, and critical power environments. The technician installs, maintains, and troubleshoots DC power systems, batteries, and power plants at customer sites. The work supports reliable critical infrastructure, with Level IV technicians additionally leading crews, coordinating field safety, and mentoring junior technicians.

What you'll do

• Install, maintain, and troubleshoot DC power systems
• support battery installations and replacements
• perform hot cuts and live power work
• read wiring diagrams and schematics
• conduct site surveys and quality checks
• test alarms
• develop or execute MOPs
• travel regionally
• Level IV technicians lead crews and mentor junior technicians.
