The Dermatology Medical Assistant / Licensed Practical Nurse role is onsite in Minneapolis, MN, with pay of $22.50–$28.50 per hour. Dermatology Specialists provides medical, surgical, cosmetic, and pediatric dermatologic care in the Twin Cities. Working with the Clinical Manager and physician, the role supports dermatology visits and procedures, patient communication, and clinical operations. It helps provide accurate, attentive care through rooming, procedure assistance, documentation, and coordination of patient needs.

What you'll do

• Room patients and assist physicians with procedures
• prepare patients for examinations and obtain histories and chief complaints
• assist with biopsies and select surgical and cosmetic procedures
• take patient calls and relay information
• maintain the pathology process
• perform ordered clinical procedures such as suture removal, dressing changes, and patch testing
• educate patients as directed
• sterilize equipment and rooms
• assign triage priority
• coordinate patient needs
• document patient needs.
