Hardware Engineer, Test Development

The Hardware Engineer, Test Development role is onsite in Foster City, CA, with stated pay of $73–$83.57 per hour and a six-month duration. The engineer supports development and qualification testing of sense and compute hardware intended for vehicle use. The role develops, documents, and executes component- and system-level tests, working with suppliers, design engineers, and system engineers to characterize hardware performance. It also builds test infrastructure and communicates test plans, readiness, and results to support reliable hardware development.

What you'll do

• Execute electrical and environmental tests using oscilloscopes, network analyzers, and other lab equipment
• develop test setups, block diagrams, bills of materials, and test plans
• create test assets such as load simulators, harnesses, and Python scripts
• coordinate infrastructure projects with procurement and suppliers
• draft and present test plans, design reviews, test readiness reviews, and data reviews
• review documentation for standards, design, and risk assessments.
