Activities Assistant

The Activities Assistant role is onsite in Coventry, RI, with compensation of $16–$17 per hour. Riverview Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center is a 190-bed sub-acute and long-term care facility focused on compassionate, quality care and meaningful resident engagement. The role helps enrich residents’ daily lives by supporting recreational, social, educational, and community-based programs. Through activity planning, resident interaction, documentation, and coordination with the interdisciplinary team, the assistant contributes to residents’ social, emotional, physical, and intellectual well-being.

What you'll do

• Create a welcoming environment and promote residents’ well-being through activities and interactions
• assist with planning and running recreational, social, educational, and community programs
• document participation
• build relationships and encourage participation based on residents’ interests and abilities
• collaborate with the interdisciplinary team and report changes in residents’ moods, behaviors, interests, or participation
• assist with outreach events, administrative records, event setup and breakdown, and safely escorting residents.
