What you'll do

• Assess patient needs and provide emergency nursing care
• identify and intervene in life-threatening situations
• recognize safety issues and use appropriate patient lifts
• prioritize and delegate care
• may assume charge nurse duties
• complete required lethal dysrhythmia testing and defibrillation certification within the stated timeframes
• obtain IV, medication, and phlebotomy certification during orientation.
