Food Safety Associate

The Food Safety Associate role is onsite in Austin, Texas, at CookUnity’s commissary. Pay is $19 per hour. CookUnity connects customers with chefs and prepares ready-to-eat meals. The associate helps maintain a safe, clean, and functional food production environment by monitoring food safety practices, conducting facility checks, and coordinating corrective actions with kitchen operations, supply chain, and maintenance teams. The role also supports audits and food safety training.

What you'll do

• Monitor food production and chef compliance with food safety regulations
• check refrigeration, chemical concentrations, and temperatures
• communicate kitchen safety rules
• verify cooler and freezer labels and temperatures
• conduct facility compliance walks and audits
• calibrate thermometers weekly
• support food safety and sanitation training
• collect data on cooler function and sanitary transport.
