The superintendent oversees front-line supervisors and unionized conductors and locomotive engineers to meet service commitments safely and reliably. The role supports on-time performance through coaching, safety and regulatory compliance, crew and traffic planning, incident response, and service recovery.

What you'll do

• Coach employees on safe work procedures
• monitor safety compliance and investigate incidents
• implement and audit operating procedures
• use operational data to improve asset utilization and service reliability
• manage crew utilization and service recovery
• coordinate train line-ups and crew needs with Rail Traffic Control
• oversee front-line supervisors
• support hiring, training, performance management, and employee development.
