Senior Field Service Technician, Transformer Services

The Senior Field Service Technician, Transformer Services role is field-based and onsite at customer locations, with the listing location in Cleveland, TX. Compensation is $100,000–$140,000 per year. SDMyers provides transformer services intended to support the reliability and longevity of electric power systems. The role leads or supports field crews completing transformer installation, repair, oil processing, and maintenance in high-voltage substations. Through safe, quality execution, technical work, and customer communication, the technician helps extend transformer life and maintain reliable electrical infrastructure. The position requires frequent travel and describes a schedule of 35 work weeks per year, typically two weeks on and one week off.

What you'll do

• Lead or support crews on transformer service projects
• perform oil reclamation, hot oil cleaning, re-inhibiting, vacuum and retro filling, and energized processing
• assist with transformer repairs and LTC work
• support electrical testing when certified, collect oil samples, and use vacuum and dew point instruments
• install EP products and complete minor field equipment repairs
• follow safety protocols, maintain documentation, and communicate with customers and team members.
