The Maintenance Mechanic – Nonwoven Manufacturing role is onsite in Charlotte, NC. Pay is $27.00–$30.00 per hour, depending on experience, and the listed schedule is 7:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m. (currently running 7:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.). The employer manufactures nonwoven filtration media for industrial and other applications. The mechanic maintains specialized production equipment so manufacturing lines can operate safely and efficiently. Preventive maintenance, repairs, documentation, and adherence to plant safety procedures support reliable production; electrical troubleshooting and PLC fault-finding are described as learning opportunities.

What you'll do

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance by inspecting, cleaning, calibrating, and lubricating equipment
• troubleshoot and repair mechanical failures
• maintain hydraulic and pneumatic systems
• support basic electrical troubleshooting
• weld, cut, and fabricate guards, brackets, and simple structural parts
• document repairs, parts usage, and equipment history in a CMMS
• follow Lockout/Tagout procedures and plant safety rules.
