Purchasing / Assembly Technology Assistant

The Purchasing / Assembly Technology Assistant role is onsite in Ontario, NY; compensation is not specified. The position supports CS Automation’s Purchasing Manager and Assembly Technology Coordinator in daily operations. The assistant helps keep purchasing and assembly workflows moving by following up on orders and receipt issues, entering customer orders, maintaining production documentation, and coordinating schedules and communications across internal teams and vendors.

What you'll do

• Run weekly overdue purchase order and expedite reports and follow up with vendors
• address receipt issues with vendors and warehouse staff
• fulfill customer requests for certificates of conformance and related documentation
• assist with inventory management. Enter customer orders in Prophet 21 (Epicor), place vendor orders, update the assembly scheduling tool, maintain production orders, bills of materials and schedules, coordinate production scheduling, and communicate with internal departments and suppliers about orders and discrepancies.
